Quality and testing
- What is tested on every lot?
- Starch, moisture, crude protein, crude fat, crude fibre and crude ash, reported on the certificate of analysis for that lot.
- Can you test mycotoxins, heavy metals, pesticides or Salmonella?
- Yes, on request, by an accredited third-party laboratory. The cost can be shared depending on the order.
- Is hydrocyanic acid (HCN) in cassava products a concern?
- Cassava naturally contains cyanogenic compounds, which drying and processing reduce. HCN can be tested for your lot on request and reported on the certificate of analysis. Limits for your market are agreed in the specification.
- Which certifications does the manufacturing site hold?
- ISO 22000:2018 and HACCP Codex Alimentarius, issued by Q-CERT. Certificate numbers and copies are sent on request.
- Do you have GMP+, Halal or Kosher certification?
- Not at present. Tell us if your market requires one; we will discuss what is possible.
- Can we audit the plant?
- Yes. Audit requests go through VCSC, and we arrange the visit to the manufacturing site.
- Can you trace a lot back to its raw material?
- Yes. Each lot number traces to the production run, the raw material delivery and the named supplier. We keep the shipment file for five years.
